Why Our Region Needs Enhanced Orthopedic Care
Nearly everyone is at risk of experiencing bone and joint pain. Active young adults may hurt themselves on the playing field. Though they get care and heal, nagging pain becomes a constant companion later in life.
Falls, sprains, twists and tears from activities of daily living can slow us down. Workers whose jobs require repetitive motion are at risk for overuse injuries. Older adults often experience the agony of joints reduced to bone on bone as cartilage wears away due to arthritis.
By all counts, Baby Boomers who were active in their younger years expect to be just as active as they age. That expectation is fueling the growing demand for joint replacements and other procedures that help them maintain — or regain — function to keep moving.
At Atrium Medical Center, we know that our orthopedic and spine patients deserve the best possible experience. And we want to ensure that residents of our region always have access to advanced orthopedic and spine care.
